In 2009 General Datacomm, one of Russia’s leading telecoms businesses, was looking for a global rebrand. Their CEO asked us to capture the energy,
flair and imagination of the people within the organisation. We created a brand that breaks all the rules of the category. Bold colours, startling
illustrations, and an emotive name (Imaqliq is the Inuit name for a Russian island in the Bering Strait, the first place on earth to see the sun rise
on a new day.
It translates as Tomorrow Island). Imaqliq has a big vision. It wants to be the most creative and original telecommunications company in the world. Here’s to Tomorrow.
